SPONSORSHIPS
With a sponsorship, you support a child throughout his or her entire school career (max. 15 years) and thus enable him or her to attend a well-equipped school (pre-school, primary and secondary school) including a dormitory. Your contribution covers a large part of the school and boarding school fees. Our Ugandan partners decide which child is selected for a sponsorship solely on the basis of need – regardless of origin or religion. Furthermore, we pay attention to gender equity. You will receive a sponsorship certificate as well as (with the consent of the child and his/her parents) their name, a photo and, if possible, information about their school career. In single cases children can finish school prematurely. In such cases you will be informed by us proactively. You can then decide whether to end the sponsorship, support vocational training for the child or let your contributions benefit another child. You can decide for yourself whether you want to pay your contribution monthly, half-yearly or in one lump sum. In order to keep the booking and administration costs low, we recommend paying annually.

With your donation subscription, you help children to attend pre-school, primary or secondary school or to complete vocational training. The money flows into an education fund, which intervenes e.g. if a family cannot afford all the school fees or the fees for vocational training, there is no money for an examination fee or for the purchase of the compulsory school uniform. Recently, the children in the municipality of Lwamaggwa have the opportunity to attend preschool (2 years). Attendance at the pre-school and primary school with attached boarding school (7 years) currently costs an average of 120 EUR per school year, for a secondary school (6 years) approx. 400 EUR. For vocational training (approx. 3 years), the annual costs amount to approx. 350 to 500 EURper year, depending on the profession. With your support, the teenager or young adults can, for example, complete a training to become a nurse, a mechanic, a hairdresser, a car mechanic or a secretary. Ideally, you can adapt the duration and amount of your payment according to the type of school and the duration of the school or training period for which you would like to support a child. You can decide for yourself whether you want to pay monthly, semi- annually or in an annual fee. In order to keep the booking and administrative costs low, we recommend paying annually in one lump sum. You determine the duration of your donation subscription yourself. The donation subscription can be cancelled at any time. HEALTH FUND
With your individual donation to the health fund, you contribute to ensuring that children in the local dispensary can receive regular medical care, treatment and, if necessary, medication. The most common diseases in Uganda include malaria (subtropical infectious disease), pneumonia, skin rash, diarrhea or typhoid. For many diseases, it can be vital for survival that those affected are treated in a hospital ward and provided with medication. This is precisely what many families cannot afford, so that children die of diseases that can be successfully treated in a hospital or in a rural dispensary. The infant mortality rate of children under 5 years of age in Uganda is over 4 percent. Malaria treatment, the most common disease in Uganda, costs about 30 EUR, depending on the severity, an appendectomy, for example. approx. 40 EUR. With an annual sum of 15 EUR, a child with the usual illnesses can be successfully treated and provided with medication in the small dispensary. If you opt for a donation subscription, you determine the duration yourself. The donation subscription can be cancelled at any time.
